FAQs

music-speaksWhere are these 4-week workshops offered? The workshops are offered at Arts Fifth Avenue, an eclectic neighborhood arts center just south of Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth’s Magnolia corridor. Parking is FREE and very close to the studio. Visit our location page for specifics.

When are these 4-week workshops offered? The 4-week workshops are offered (continuously) on Monday and Thursday mornings and Monday evenings throughout the year. You choose the best day and time for you during registration. We offer very short “specialty” workshops during summer and December (Christmas music, patriotic songs, old favorites, and more!)

How will I know when new 4-week workshops are offered? We’d love to stay in touch with you about upcoming workshops. Sign up here to receive invitations to FREE previews, fun events, and upcoming workshops. (Of course, you can opt out at any time.)

What are the classes like? Each one-hour class is fun, low-stress, and packed with playing the keyboard, drumming, moving together – and probably learning some things that were left out of your music education along the way. (Our workshops are a lot more fun than traditional piano lessons.) You will learn important basics using rhythm and tonal patterns, and you will learn how to transpose and harmonize simple melodies. (It is a lot easier than you can imagine! Our five- and six-year old students harmonize melodies and transpose them all the time.)

Who will enjoy and learn in these group classes?
These group piano lessons (offered as 4-week workshops) will be perfect for you, if. . .

  • You’re an adult with a keyboard ($99 variety) or piano at home, AND
  • You’re a newbie, piano wannabe, or re-learner, OR
  • You have some gaps in your learning that you’d like to fill in, AND
  • You are looking for a fun, low-stress music class with like-minded adults.

Can you promise me. . .?
Yes.
We promise you the classes will be fun, low-stress and filled with joyful music-making. That’s our learning style at Mistletoe Musikgarten: no fear, just fun. You may withdraw, in writing, within 72 hours after your first class for a full tuition refund. Home materials cannot be refunded after they are taken from the studio.

Do I need to bring my own keyboard to class?
No!
You are welcome to, but we provide a keyboard for each student in class.

Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. Just let us know within 72 hours after your first class, in writing, that you want a tuition refund, and we’ll send it to you – no questions asked. (Actually, we’d greatly appreciate any and all feedback from our students, but if you’d rather not share, that’s okay, too.) Please note that the home materials (CDs, games, music books) are not refundable once you take them from the studio.
